Assignment 2: Play Game, Reflect and Submit SnapThoughts® to the CBE class

(45 minutes game-play & thoughtful SnapThought® reflection)

The SnapThought® tool allows students to take up to 5 snapshots from game play and write a short “thought” about each one. Students can then submit the snapshot collection to a teacher.  For a refresher about snapthought, you can view this video and read this blog post.

  1. Visit BrainPOP.com
  2. Login with the demo student account that you created at the workshop.
  3. Select one of the following games.
  4. Play the game and take 4 to 5 Snapshots, write individual reflections on each one.  These prompts could guide your reflection.
    • Share your strategy from the moment documented in the snapshot.
    • Explain what you think your next move should be.
    • Reflect on your past outcome and what you should do next/differently.
    • Ponder how you could use this game in your classroom.
    • A feature or component of the game that strikes you.
  5.  Submit the collection to the teacher’s class – the class that you enrolled in at the Certification course that you attended in person.
