Reading Pathways Support Resources
BrainPOP Reading Pathways topics aim to support reading skill development in all curricular areas for students 3rd grade and up.
The Pathways topics are explicitly re-designed to support and formatively assess students’ reading skills and target specific anchor reading standards, including:
- Making inferences based on explicit textual evidence
- Determining themes and main ideas
- Analyzing cause and effect relationships, sequencing events, and comparing and contrasting
- Interpreting and applying vocabulary and language in context
- Integrating content presented in diverse formats (e.g. movies, texts, images)
