BrainPOP & Friends at SXSWEdu: Game On and GameUp
Posted by cemignano on
Explore the many different voices in games for teaching and learning! Thanks to you and your votes, our panel “Listen Up! Speak Up! GameUp! A Game Data Discussion,” has made it into 2014’s SXSWedu festival (March 3-6 in Austin, TX)! How can we incorporate student and stakeholder perspectives to create a shared vision around the use of games? What about leveraging data to drive successful implementations for game developers and teachers? How do your thoughts on games intersect with national views? Jessica Millstone (Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop), Julie Evans (Project Tomorrow), and Robert Torres (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), along with our own Allisyn Levy, will discuss these and other relevant questions.
But our panel is just one of many noteworthy sessions on the event’s line-up. We’re thrilled to be part of a rich schedule that also includes presentations by our friends at Common Sense Media and E-Line Media, as well as one of our POPstars, New Jersey educator Steven Isaacs.
We’ll be sharing more SXSW news down the road, so stay tuned as the festival dates approach!
