We’re proud to announce the BrainPOP team has been hard at work on a new movie for the Famous Authors and Books Unit in English-Language Arts AND a new movie for the Diseases, Injuries, and Conditions Unit in Health!

Cystic Fibrosis

For most people, thick mucus is a temporary annoyance when they get sick. But for people with cystic fibrosis, it’s a way of life. In this BrainPOP movie, Tim and Moby clear the air about this genetic disease of the respiratory system. Discover what happens in the cells of CF patients that make it so hard for them to breathe. Learn about symptoms like coughing and low energy levels, and find out why some kids are more likely to have CF than others. And explore the treatments that help thousands of CF patients lead active lives. Got your walking shoes on? Get ready to use them in the name of CF! Our Cystic Fibrosis Lesson Resources page will help you get started.

A Wrinkle in Time

Sometimes it takes a trip to the farthest reaches of the universe to learn the most important lessons about growing up. In this BrainPOP movie, Tim and Moby explore the fantastic worlds and real-world themes of Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time. Follow the galaxy-spanning adventures of Meg and Charles as they use a tesseract to search for their missing father. Meet magical beings like the three Mrs. and the evil Dark Thing. Discover how L’Engel uses strange planets like Camazotz to create allegories about our own society. And learn how A Wrinkle in Time mixes elements of science fiction, fantasy, and coming-of-age drama to create a timeless tale of self-discovery!
