2 New Virtual Labs are Now on GameUp
Posted by SM Bruner on
Virtual labs are the perfect way to prepare students for using a real science lab, and they’re a terrific alternative when you aren’t able to provide as many hands-on investigations as you’d like.
We’re excited to announce that two new virtual labs from NMSU are now featured on GameUp! We’ve got Understanding Water Activity and Controlling Water Activity in Food on our site to help students explore this important concept. Through these labs, students can explore how water activity can make you sick, see how unsafe microbes inside food rely on water, and learn how to calibrate water activity levels.
The two new virtual labs join a wide range of other NMSU labs on GameUp:
- Using the Microscope
- Testing for Corn Mold
- Acidifying Salsa
- Gram Staining
- Disposable Lab Equipment
- PH Scale and Meter Calibration
Check them out and let us know in the comments how virtual labs have been helpful for your students!
