2014 ISTE Award Nominations Are Open!

The 2014 ISTE awards recognize passionate and innovative educators who are leading the way for connected education. Now is your chance to nominate an educator who you feel acts as a model for teaching and learning in the world of ed tech.
Award nominations are open through February 28, 2014 and will be given in the following categories:

Outstanding Leader Award – For educators whose leadership advances the transformation of education through technology

Outstanding Teacher Award – For classroom teachers who apply technology to engage and empower students

Outstanding Young Educator Award – For educators 35 years or younger who transform learning through the visionary use of technology

Sylvia Charp Award for District Innovation – For the innovative application of technology across a school system

Public Policy Advocate Award – For individuals who champion ed tech policy at the local, state, regional, national or global level

Kay L. Bitter Vision Award – For individuals who integrate technology with vision and creativity in a PK–2 classroom

SIGLIB (SIGMS) Technology Innovation – Primary – For a school librarian and collaborating teacher from a primary school (K-5) who conduct an exemplary technology program extending beyond the library

SIGLIB (SIGMS) Technology Innovation – Secondary – For a school librarian and collaborating teacher from a secondary school (6-12) who conduct an exemplary technology program extending beyond the library

SIGOL Online Learning Award – For use of online learning networks to provide connected learning opportunities for students

SIGTE Award for Excellence in Teacher Education – For outstanding research in technology and teacher education

President’s Volunteer Service Award – For individuals who demonstrate commitment and inspire others to volunteer

Making IT Happen Award – For visionary educators and leaders who cultivate connected, empowered learners
Award winners will receive recognition at the 2014 ISTE conference, complimentary registration for the conference, a one-year standard ISTE membership, engraved plaque acknowledging the recipient’s outstanding achievement, recognition in ISTE publications, and more.
