Happy World Teacher Day!

It’s October 5th, the Friday before Columbus day, so many of us are celebrating the impending long weekend! However, many in the education world are also celebrating the United Nations’ (UN) World Teachers’ Day too! According to the UN’s website, “World Teacher’s Day, held annually on 5 October since 1994, commemorates the anniversary of the signing in 1966 of the UNESCO/ILO Recommendation Concerning the Status of Teachers. It is an occasion to celebrate the essential role of teachers in providing quality education at all levels.”
All of us in education have teachers that we remember fondly. Its great for your own teaching practice to remember stories of your favorite teacher and what made them special. If you have a few moments, take time to share positive memories below.
