Vocabulary

This exemplar map features a single vocabulary word from the ELL movie Does He Bite? Using the Make-a-Map tool, the student placed the word brave in the center, then used the search field in the image bank to find pictures of jobs illustrating bravery. The student also used blank nodes to categorize the jobs and wrote sentences explaining the two categories. Since this lesson teaches the verb tense present simple, students can explain why each of the jobs requires bravery, using a present simple sentence, either orally, or written in the Add Notes section of My Maps.
