This exemplar map was made with Make-a-Map after watching a single movie on Mammals.  A great next step would be to ask your students to add one or more of the related topic movies to their concept map.  For example, adding in concepts from the vertebrates topic would enhance and extend the learning transfer opportunities that concept mapping affords.  Adding additional movies to existing maps widens the depth and breadth of students cognitive meaning-making associations across multiple topics and builds greater understanding of how ideas and concepts are interrelated.
