october conferences

Our 2016 “conference season” kicks off in Orlando, where we’ll attend FETC from January 12-15.  On the 12th, we’ll be partnering with Dig-It! Games to host a day of free professional development focusing on assessment within game-based learning. All attendees can earn up to six CEU credits. Pre-registration is required: get the details and join us!

Also set aside time on the 14th for “Games in the Classroom: Getting the Recipe Right,” with Classroom Inc.’s Christina Oliver, Institute of Play’s Rebecca Rufo-Tepper, and BrainPOP’s Jessica Millstone, Director of Engagement. On the 15th, Project Tomorrow’s Julie Evans and Certified BrainPOP Educator Robert Miller (Volusia County Schools) join Kari Stubbs, PhD for “Digital Teachers, Digital Principals: Transforming the Way We Engage Students.”

Across the pond at BETT (January 20-23 in London), Professor Christina Preston of MirandaNet and de Montfort University presents “Engaging Pupils: Video, Quizzes, and Games.” Christina’s session will highlight the findings of a research study involving the use of BrainPOP’s resources at an East London school.

TCEA-bound? We’ll be there from February 1-5. Join us on the 1st for “What Can Make Your Brain ‘POP’” with Certified BrainPOP Educator Shaina Glass (Aldine ISD).

You’ll also find us this winter at TECHSPO (Atlantic City, NJ), MECA (Jackson, MS), and a slew of other ed tech conferences. Visit our Conference page to see when we’ll be in your neck of the woods.
