BrainPOP, a leading creator of digital educational content, seeks a seasoned and effective classroom teacher and teacher trainer to help meet demands for on-site professional development and training. This full-time position requires significant nation-wide travel to lead in-person workshops at conferences and within school districts. It may also involve virtual training sessions like webinars and online courses. Further responsibilities include advising and developing customized workshops and content such as lesson plans for BrainPOP Educators, our professional community and hub for teacher resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in-person training and professional development workshops across the country
  • Coordinate and collaborate with school leaders to customize training approach
  • Lead webinars and other online events (Twitter chats, etc.) to engage educators
  • Co-manage our growing online certification community and strategize its continued growth
  • Develop, write, and implement customized training workshops
  • Create teacher support content for publication on BrainPOP Educators
  • Support BrainPOP Production teams as needed

Requirements:

  • Masters in Education
  • 10+ years of classroom teaching experience
  • Experience leading technology-based training and professional development with teachers
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Familiarity with Google Apps and WordPress
  • Experience successfully presenting at national education and technology conferences
