BrainPOP, a market leader in digital educational content, is seeking an ambitious Regional Manager to support our expanding business in East Asia. This role will require strength in both business planning and execution, with the ultimate aim of extending our presence throughout the region. This is a full-time position based in East Asia and reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives in New York.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a multi-year strategy to manage growth of BrainPOP in East Asia.
  • Oversee sales pipeline, including volume deals with partners and schools.
  • Serve as main point of contact in regards to communication, developing opportunities, and relationship management with private and public partners.
  • Leverage research, local landscape knowledge, and business expertise to make strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze and understand business deal terms and communicate recommendations to US-based Business Development team.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development capacity within the education, digital media, or relevant business industries.
  • Experience structuring, negotiating, and implementing complex deals.
  • Superior analytical and writing skills (Mandarin and English), together with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience working for a US- or European-based company a plus.
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape and current trends in the ed tech industry a plus.
