Job: Digital Asset Curator

BrainPOP, a leading creator of digital educational content including animated movies, learning games, interactive quizzes, and activities like concept mapping, seeks a Digital Asset Curator. In this role, you will work with our Production team to upload and maintain a library of digital assets for learning. This is a temporary, month-to-month contract position on site at our New York City headquarters, with the option to work remotely after the initial training period. You’ll join an energetic and passionate group in a fast-paced, collaborative environment as you learn about the development of assets for online learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, organize, and upload large collections of digital assets into library database
  • Help maintain digital artifacts by creating content groupings using keywords and tagging protocols
  • Improve existing content library with enhanced cross-referencing, keywording, and tagging of existing digital assets
  • Maintain consistent data entry methodology

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Persistent attention to detail across multiple large projects
  • Ability to organize job duties and work independently, and to focus on executing repetitive tasks
  • Minimum 1+ year of related professional experience in data entry, asset curation, or cataloging, or the educational equivalent

Special Consideration for: 

  • Expertise in a variety of production and content creation tools including Adobe Flash, Animate, and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with the Flash production workflow and using pre-existing files
  • Experience using asset management software
  • Knowledge of educational design
