Building a Nation of Makers

Earlier this summer, we launched our STEM-themed Spotlight as part of the National Week of Making, celebrating the builders, creators, designers, and problem solvers among us. The National Week of Making is part of President Obama’s Nation of Makers initiative, which aims to expand the number of students who ultimately become makers: 21st-century manufacturers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. The STEM Spotlight’s content – including topics like 3D Printing, Logic Gates, Computer Programming, Robots, and Gears – will remain free through the end of the 2015-16 school year.
