Educator Resources for Wind Simulator

The Wind Simulator game supports student exploration of the concepts of wind direction and speed, the movement of air from high-pressure to low-pressure areas, and how Earth's rotation affects wind movement. After a short comic-strip introduction, “playground levels” of the game teach students about wind, pressure systems, and atmospheric pressure. Using flags, students identify the speed and direction of the wind. Understanding and analysis of this information helps students as they move through the game. Players can advance through eight different levels to create increasingly complicated weather systems.
