Educator Resources for Balancing Act
In Balancing Act, students play with objects on a teeter-totter to learn about balance. Students predict how objects of different masses can be used to balance a plank, and how changing the positions of the masses will affect the motion of the plank. Students can develop a set of rules to predict which way a plank will tilt when objects are placed on it, and can test these rules while playing the game to solve puzzles about balancing.
