Educator Resources for All About Bird Anatomy
Help your students understand how a bird is built with this virtual bird interactive from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. A great complement to coverage of anatomy or adaptations, the interactive is an elegant but fun way for your students to learn and understand birds' anatomical systems. Students build their birds from the inside out, learn the name and function of each part, and reflect on the differences between birds and other organisms along the way. The flashcard mode then provides students with a quick way to test their knowledge, and helps them recognize gaps in their use of the interactive technology.
