In memory of Naomi Prawer Kadar

In memory of Naomi Prawer Kadar, Ph.D, (1949-2010), the creator of BrainPOP ELL, whose legacy brings the joy of newfound understanding to language learners worldwide.

Naomi was a lifelong educator and scholar who inspired students, colleagues, and everyone who knew her to reach their potential. With her unique energy and passion, she transformed every classroom she entered into a second home for her students.

Naomi conceived of, founded, and created BrainPOP ELL–our proficiency-based English language learning program for all ages–after spending years teaching English to students from all backgrounds and levels of achievement. She continues to make an impact posthumously through the online product she created, enabling learners around the world to access the English language with the same joy that defined her own classroom.

Ten years ago, the world lost an extraordinary educator. We hope that Naomi’s love of language will continue to shine in the eyes of every student who delights in their newfound understanding through BrainPOP ELL.
