ISTE 2017 – San Antonio, here we come!

BrainPOP is headed to San Antonio, TX for the 2017 ISTE conference from June 25 – 28. From hour-long concurrent sessions to Certified BrainPOP Educator workshops, our POPUp Classroom schedule is jam-packed with free PD for both newbies and veteran users alike. Certified BrainPOP Educator Workshop, Option 1 ♦ 8-11:30 am

This workshop constitutes the foundation for our Certified BrainPOP Educator (CBE) program. The “CBE” program is designed to help you take full advantage of the features included in a school-wide BrainPOP subscription – from creation and reflection tools to learning games to the ability to keep track of learning.

Creative Coding w/ BrainPOP + Vidcode ♦ 9-10 am 
Be among the very first to experience Creative Coding projects on BrainPOP – the latest addition to our suite of student creation tools! We’ve teamed up with Vidcode to bring you these cross-curricular, topic-level projects, which let students jump right into coding, make things they love, and show what they know in a whole new way – even without prior experience.

The Impact of Pairing BrainPOP w/ Breakout EDU ♦ 10:30-11:30 am 
Come get the inside scoop on the Breakout EDU puzzle we’re designing! This preview session shows you the different skills Breakout EDU puzzles can build, and highlights the power of BrainPOP and Breakout EDU when paired in class.

Lights, Camera, Action: Make-a-Movie♦ 12-1 pm
Make your own, BrainPOP-style movie with our newest student creation tool! In this session, you’ll learn to produce your own “feature film” with Make-a-Movie – starring Moby.

BrainPOP for Beginners (Non-Subscribers Only) ♦ 1:30-2:30 pm 
New to BrainPOP? We’ll introduce you to the breadth of our resources, including animated movies, student creation and reflection tools, educational games, playful and custom assessment, and the ability to keep track of learning. Attendees receive an extended free school trial for use through December! 

Certified BrainPOP Educator Showcase ♦ 3-4 pm 
Our Certified BrainPOP Educators (CBEs) take center stage, sharing the creative ways they’re putting our content and features to use in class. 

Focus Group: School Admin Dashboard / District Admin Dashboard ♦ 4:30-5:30 pm 
School- and district-level administrators are invited to weigh in on improvements we’re considering for the school Admin Dashboard and the face of the upcoming district Admin Dashboard to better meet your needs. Note: focus groups are limited in size to 20. First-come/first-served.

BrainPOP for Beginners ♦ 10:15-11:15 am
New to BrainPOP? We’ll introduce you to the breadth of our resources, including animated movies, student creation and reflection tools, educational games, playful and custom assessment, and the ability to keep track of learning. Attendees receive an extended free school trial for use through December!
