BrainPOP Español y BrainPOP ELL incorporando las TICs en el aula

Event Description: Desde 1999, BrainPOP ha creado contenido educativo en línea para apoyar las necesidades curriculares de los alumnos y facilitar la comprensión de temas de interés general. Es una herramienta que consiste en breves películas animadas, ideales para uso individual o en grupo, que permiten introducir temas nuevos, explicar conceptos difíciles y repasar antes de un examen. Nuestro contenido curricular abarca edades de 5 a 15 años, sin embargo cualquier persona lo puede utilizar.
El objetivo de este evento es que los profesores conozcan e implementen las herramientas educativas de BrainPOP, apps y herramientas gratuitas en sus clases. También, mostraremos los proyectos educativos en los que BrainPOP ha contribuido en países de habla hispana como México, Colombia y Chile.
Nos enfocaremos en dos productos de la familia BrainPOP.
- BrainPOP Español https://esp.brainpop.com/, que contiene temas de Ciencia, Ciencias Sociales, Matemáticas, Salud, Tecnología, Español, Arte y Música.
- BrainPOP ELL https://esl.brainpop.com/ , que es una herramienta para aprender inglés en ingles.

Time Zone X: The Right Time, the Right Place

The past is present! We’re introducing Time Zone X, the newest game designed in-house at BrainPOP. Time Zone X challenges players to “fix” history, calling upon their reasoning skills as they figure out the order in which famous events and milestones occurred. In this webinar you’ll get an overview of the game and learn about its potential as an assessment tool. Come learn, come play, come get great tips you can bring back to your classroom!

STEM/ELL webinar: Digital Resources to Learn English and Content Across the Glob
Speakers: Bev Fine and Jessica Millstone
Kids are learning English, and content in English, all over the world. BrainPOP brings together both English and content-learning with our unique resources and tools. With a focus on STEM, this webinar will highlight corresponding topics and games in multiple languages. And since STEM is BrainPOP’s free spotlight for the year, many of the topics we’ll explore in this webinar are free. The webinar will also demonstrate how to bring content and language together for English learners, with BrainPOP ELL’s content, academic language, lesson plan activities, and other teacher resources.
