The Arctic isn’t just cool, it’s cold! The Arctic is an area that includes parts of Canada, Greenland, Russia, Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and the United States (Alaska). In this movie, you'll learn that the Arctic is around the North Pole, and Earth's tilt and its orbit around the Sun cause the Arctic to experience just a few hours of sunlight in the winter. You’ll find out how plants and animals have adapted to survive in this cold, windy environment. You'll also learn about different native people from the Arctic, such as the Inuit and Sámi. Find out how the Arctic is changing because of global warming and how this might cause problems for some Arctic plants and animals.
