Lemur Week with BrainPOP and IMAX

Celebrate Lemur Week with BrainPOP and IMAX®!

Posted by cemignano on

March 29 marks the start of Lemur Week and BrainPOP is proud to team up with Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX to shine a spotlight on the endangered lemurs in Madagascar. In preparation for the release of their upcoming 3D documentary, Island Of Lemurs: Madagascar, IMAX has provided some valuable resources for you to teach students about these amazing creatures. Bring Lemur Week into your classroom with IMAX’s Educator Guide and complement your lessons with hands-on activities, non-fiction texts, and map practice. Be sure to pair this guide with BrainPOP’s Primates movie and related features to dig even deeper into your study of lemurs. Our Related Reading section is full of fun facts that focus on these unique primates. For more activities and information about Lemur Week, visit the official Lemur Week website.

Headed to NSTA in Boston this week? Don’t miss out on the opportunity to attend a free screening of Island Of Lemurs: Madagascar before it opens in theatres across the country! Visit BrainPOP at booth 524 in the exhibit hall on April 3. We’ll be handing out passes for the screening at the New England Aquarium’s Simons IMAX Theatre that night at 8:00 PM.

Island of Lemurs: Madagascar opens exclusively in select IMAX theatres April 4.  To learn more visit Islandoflemurs.imax.com.
