As you prep your classroom for the first bell of the season, don’t miss our Spotlight: Back to School! BrainPOP topics cover everything you’ll need to get your new batch of students off to a great start: Book Reports, Bullying, Cyberbullying, Getting Help, Online Safety, Reading Skills, Research, Stress, Test Prep, and more. For K-3, there’s Kindergarten, School, Book Reports, Bullying, Friends, Washing Hands, Internet Safety, Listening and Speaking, Capital and Lowercase, Adding On, and Making Observations. Check out back-to-school graphic organizers and a lesson plan as well.

The tsunami in Japan. The floods in Joplin. The tornadoes in Tuscaloosa. This year alone, we’ve been bombarded by news and images of natural disasters, and our Spotlight: Natural Disasters is more timely than ever. Help kids understand topics like Avalanches, Earthquakes, Floods, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Tsunami, Volcanoes, and more. K-3 topics include Fast Land Changes. Interactive whiteboard users, work our Hurricane flipchart into your lesson. Or, take advantage of a natural disaster-themed lesson plan and the Natural Disasters unit Dr. Kari Stubbs, PhD, presented at NECC 2009 (now known as ISTE).
